Personal Journal: Along the Banks of the River

Today, I was flipping through my journals and I found several entries I had made that connected to a dream I had several years prior. In this entry I am going to include a description of the dream along with each one of those journal entries.
The Dream-Original Entry Date 2/10/2013:
I and a close female friend of mine (it was not clear exactly who it was, I just knew it was a dear friend whom I love and was a female) were walking along the RIGHT side of a stream of water (a river). I was wearing my bike shorts, oddly, and we were walking on the shady side of the river bank and it was a bit muddy. There were snakes slithering all around, coming up from the mud, some were even entwined together, that’s how many there were! We kept walking and I remember looking intently at each of the snakes; I was examining their patterns to determine whether it was poisonous or not. I would look at one, determine that it was not venomous and suddenly a new, different one would come into view, having a completely different pattern on its back.
It seemed like there were so many and they were so fast that eventually we would run into a deadly one. Fear came over me, I felt utterly vulnerable to be bitten wearing those bike shorts. I felt we should not go any further because of the risk of danger. I remember, turning my head to the LEFT, looking to the other side of the river. Unlike the shady side we were on, this side was fully in the sun and I thought to myself, “Maybe we could continue over there instead.” But something inside me told me there were snakes on that side as well. – The End

When I woke up I wrote all that down because I knew there was some sort of meaning behind it, didn’t know what though. I wrote a quick note on the same page of the dream entry. It was September 28th, 2013 and I must have been reading something in the Bible but did not notate the exact verse. Whatever I read, revealed to me a part of this dream. In this note I wrote, “Do not look to the right nor to the left. The place to travel was literally in the river! The River of Life!” Here is an example of that term being used, let’s read Deuteronomy 5:32 So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left.

Journal Entry made 1/24/2016: In prayer this morning the Spirit overcame me. I prayed that the Spirit would flow freely from the throne of my heart onto everyone that I encounter today. As I prayed this the Spirit spoke to me that my prayer connects with the book of Revelation and the River of Life flowing freely from the Temple and His Throne.

Revelation 22:1-2 NIV: Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
The Spirit then revealed that God’s Throne is the throne of our hearts. The Spirit then spoke to me that His Throne is the Throne of Grace and our hearts are to be the same. I sat there, stunned, so He repeatedly asked, “Do you understand?” and I said, I did. The River of Life flows from our hearts (grace, God’s gifts) on to the lost and this draws them to God.

Journal Entry made 2/1/2016: I was talking to Papa God tonight, telling Him how much I love our relationship and He said, “I love it too. This is what I long to have with all of My children.” I then felt sad in my heart for Him and He continued, “Many claim to know Me with their mouths but their hearts are far away.” I acknowledged this and said that is written in His Word.
Isaiah 29:13 NKJV Therefore the Lord said:
“Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths
And honor Me with their lips,
But have removed their hearts far from Me,
And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men

I then asked what He wanted me to do to help? He said, “Tell them what I tell you, share our relationship with them. Take them down to the river and walk upon the shoreline.”
“Can you cross?” He asked me. “Yes,” I said. It was then that I knew this connected with the dream I had with the river as well as what He told me in the journal entry made on the 24th.

Journal Entry made 2/4/2016: I wanted confirmation so I was talking to God this morning and I asked Him to give me sense as to what He meant exactly by taking people to the banks of the river to walk upon the shoreline.
The river represents the River of Life that flows freely from the Throne of Grace which is God’s and which is set upon our heart. As God’s love and grace flow from my heart He wants me to bring people close so they can experience Him.

I am a gal who lives in the Bay Area, CA. This site is not meant to be about me but rather it is about what God has shown and continues to show me in His Word and when I am in prayer with Him. I hope these entries inspire you to seek His Face, He desires you to do so and even if you don't think so...it is also what your heart and soul have longed for since birth. Over the years I wrote down every sort of spiritual revelation that would pop out at me when reading the Bible. I thought to myself, "what do you want me to d with all this, Lord?" That's when it hit me! Why not start a blog and put everything He has given you on there. And so I did.

Revelation 7:17 … For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
    🙂
This is beautiful — as you follow the Lamb wherever He goes{to the springs of living water=the river of life} let others come with you that they also can drink. !!!!! Your blog is a way to let others come along as you follow the Lamb.
    => to follow Him the Lamb must stand in the center of the throne{your heart}

A while I ago I noticed that the center of the throne is also where the river of life flows from where the Lamb stands!!!!!!!!

Revelation 5 is a beautiful picture of the Lord-Lamb standing in the center of throne — inhabiting worship of His people!
