After thought: Along the Banks of the River

Today 2/24/2021: After posting my last entry I was thinking about how vague my response was to God when He asked “Can you cross?” in the 2/1/2016 entry.
And then I ran across an entry I wrote about Joshua 20 and the cities of refuge. I will share a portion of it which really struck me: “Reading the study notes I find that there are 3 cities east and 3 cities west of the Jordan. The Jordan has special spiritual symbolism. The groups of people are all God’s people, some have crossed over to receive the full promise of God (entering the Promised Land) and some crossed to help battle but then crossed back over to live in a land they felt was good enough.” As we know when Israel crossed the Jordan it wasn’t a cake walk, they had to fight and take over the land. The people who dwelt in the land were VERY strong so the people of Israel had to have complete FAITH in God and His promise that they would reside in this land.
What are the Full Promises of God? Well what comes to mind are the gifts of the Holy Spirit along with the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.
The Gifts-In Romans 12:6-8NKJV: 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
1 Corinthians 12:8-10 NKJV: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
1 Corinthians 12:28-30 NKJV: 28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
The Fruits-Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
It is a good question to ask ourselves, Do we have Faith and the desire to cross the Jordan and enter in to the Full Promises of God?

I am a gal who lives in the Bay Area, CA. This site is not meant to be about me but rather it is about what God has shown and continues to show me in His Word and when I am in prayer with Him. I hope these entries inspire you to seek His Face, He desires you to do so and even if you don't think so...it is also what your heart and soul have longed for since birth. Over the years I wrote down every sort of spiritual revelation that would pop out at me when reading the Bible. I thought to myself, "what do you want me to d with all this, Lord?" That's when it hit me! Why not start a blog and put everything He has given you on there. And so I did.
