Symbolization: A Great Catch in Deep Waters

As I notated yesterday in a separate note posting, I am going to post my journal, prayers, reading notes in chronological order. I know you will see some of the very interesting connections from one entry to the next or even sometimes they come months later. Even as I’m reviewing this now, He is giving me even more so I will add those additional notations in parenthesis, italicized.
Original Entry Date 10/24/2012: While reading about Jesus going on to Peter’s boat I heard the Holy Spirit speak to me. I was reading

Luke 5:1-7 KJV and NIV:
And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

(3/7/2021: I like how the KJV uses the phrase “entered into”; when Jesus entered into Simon Peter’s boat this was an illustration of when He enters into the heart of a new believer. Then Jesus makes another illustration by having Simon Peter “thrust out a little from the land”; Jesus enters the heart of the new believer and that is when the transformation or separation [thrust out] from the world [from the land] begins. From this place of being separate from the world the new believer will begin sharing the Word of God with those still on land just how Jesus sits down and begins to teach.)

4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.
‘”

(3/7/2021: Jesus tells Peter to go out in to the “deep water” which is symbolic of being in deep waters spiritually; a difficult and trying time where we can’t breath or stay afloat. Here is where the greatest of catches are made! I like how Simon Peter is at first reluctant with doubt BUT he is obedient to the command of our Lord.)

6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

As I was reading the Holy Spirit reveals to me that just as Peter was obedient to Jesus, those with the same type of obedient heart will catch an over abundant amount of souls!

Luke 5:8-11 ESV:
“8 But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” 9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken, 10 and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.” 11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.”

(3/7/2021: Now the believer will “fishing for souls.” Take notice to what occurs in verse 11…the boats are brought back to land; it is now time for the follower of Christ to go into the world [land], living in the world but not being a part of [they left everything] and to continue following Christ Jesus.)

I am a gal who lives in the Bay Area, CA. This site is not meant to be about me but rather it is about what God has shown and continues to show me in His Word and when I am in prayer with Him. I hope these entries inspire you to seek His Face, He desires you to do so and even if you don't think so...it is also what your heart and soul have longed for since birth. Over the years I wrote down every sort of spiritual revelation that would pop out at me when reading the Bible. I thought to myself, "what do you want me to d with all this, Lord?" That's when it hit me! Why not start a blog and put everything He has given you on there. And so I did.

Lina — this is a very good way to show what you are hearing!
    .
Luke 5:1 … One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God.
=>To hear the word of God with ears opened=you must press in to listen and do what He says!
    *footnote from http://classic.net.bible.org/verse.php?book=Luk&chapter=5&verse=1
***image of the crowd pressing around him suggests the people leaning forward to catch Jesus’ every word.
    .
    Brings to mind the parable of the sower & seed again! {Matthew 13;Luke 8;Mark 4}
!!!Look at Luke 8:8-10 =right after this parable!!!
8 Still other seed fell on good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop a hundred times as great.” As He said these things, He would call out, “He who has ears{opened} to hear, let him hear.” 9 Then His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10 He said, “The knowledge of the secrets{mysteries} of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, “‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’
=>hearing the word of God with “open” ears is the “key” to the secrets{mysteries} of the kingdom!!!!!!!!
    *footnotes from http://classic.net.bible.org/verse.php?book=Luk&chapter=8&verse=10
***secrets (μυστήριον, musthrion) can mean either (1) a new revelation or (2) a revealing interpretation of existing revelation
=>This is what the Lord is doing in these blogs=revealing deeper and deeper things{secrets about the kingdom to those whose ears are open-to hear&do}!!!!!!
    .
Notice the catch of fish=very large-like the seed in good soil produced hundredfold
=>hearing with opened ears and then doing=produces a large “harvest”
    .
=>1. hearing&doing with opened ears=more open ears&deeper kingdom secrets revealed producing more harvest
    =>2. hearing and not doing=ears closing{filling with dirt?}-less&less understanding-in danger of no harvest{only 1 good soil}
!!!!Look at this — it confirms not only the above 2 statements, it confirms why the Lord told you to put your posts in order!!!!!
    Mark 4:21-25 Amplified Bible
21 He said to them, “A lamp is not brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Is it not [brought in] to be put on the lampstand? 22 For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been kept secret, but that it would come to light [that is, things are hidden only temporarily, until the appropriate time comes for them to be known]. 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear and heed My words.” 24 Then He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear. By your own standard of measurement [that is, to the extent that you study spiritual truth and apply godly wisdom] it will be measured to you [and you will be given even greater ability to respond]—and more will be given to you besides. 25 For whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a yearning for truth], even what he has will be taken away from him.”

Amen! Thank you for pointing this out!
It’s crazy to see how He had been showing me stuff over the days, weeks and sometimes months or even years, stuff that goes together or is an answer to something I asked in prayer. There’s a lot I didn’t realize or catch…very well worth reviewing past entries when writing something new down 😃
