A Message To Us At Lunch 8/23/2011

^{(3/24/2021: I ran across these Notes I and my mom had posted on Facebook 10 years ago! I honestly thought they were gone for good because FB had done away with the Notes feature a couple years back so I thought that was it. Glad to have found where Facebook keeps them archived so I can copy and paste elsewhere securely.
Anyhow, this was a cool experience my mom and I had; feeling God’s presence and JoY. It was so lovely, I kinda pushed her to write about it to always remember.
The first will be my version, and the second will be my mom’s version.)}

A Message to Us at Lunch~~~My version 8/23/11

My mom & I have such a strong spiritual bond; I feel it strengthens every day. I came home for lunch & God, surely was speaking loud & clear to us this day.

I stood out in the front yard with her. My eyes fixed downward as I watched her bent over a large pot trimming the petunias. She lifted her face suddenly. Her eyes fixed to mine & stated, “Whatever may be wrong, you can always come to me to talk.”

I am very aware that my mom is always here to listen but I told her that this is something that God & I are working on. She, oh so calm, humbly looked at me with acceptance & went back to trimming.

I felt the calmness in the air & the presence of the Lord. I then, full of Joy, sputtered out, “God speaks to me all the time! When I was driving home for lunch I thanked Him for comforting me. Then suddenly I see two baby birds jumping & flapping as if they were dancing with each other on the sidewalk right before my eyes! I smiled so deeply & thanked Him for the baby birds cuz I knew they were for me! As I pulled up the driveway a giant yellow leaf smacked my windshield; He was telling me that I am right & He was saying You’re welcome!”

My mom responded with a smile saying how beautiful. I then recalled how I had been seeing those deep, magenta spring trees all over & how they stood out to me! I glanced down the way
& pointed to one blossoming brightly in a neighbors yard, “He is trying to tell me something by those trees but I haven’t figured out what?!?!”

My mom, so gentle & soft-spoken, turned her head from the tree to me & said, “That’s a part of God’s beauty.”

That was the answer!!!! I was elated!!! My mom, so full of the Spirit, went back to clipping & went on to say, “God is speaking to me. He is telling me that we have to remove the hidden ugliness out from underneath or it can slowly kill us.”

She said this as she lifted the lively, green leaves up & trimmed the dead vines from underneath. I asked her if she realized what she was doing, symbolized what she had said & of course, she did…the presence of the Lord.
I shouted with joy as then a monarch butterfly appeared to us. Its beauty full of His Light.

^{Today, at Noon me & Lina were outside talking and she told me God speaks to her…The baby birds she noticed coming home as she said, “Thank You.” to God. She noticed the purple tree & How it stood out.” Beautiful.” I said, “that’s part of God’s Beauty.”}

^{As I was clipping the dead underneath the plant I told her, “God is telling me we have to get the hidden ugliness out from underneath or it can slowly kill us.”}
