Original Entry Date 12/7/2015: As I drove to work today there was a bunch of fog out! You know how that is? How you can’t see 5 feet in front of you it feels like! It can be pretty darn scary and nerve-racking!
I felt the Holy Spirit speak to my heart that this is how our walk with God can feel to us. It is also a depiction of how we understand the spiritual realm on a deeper level.
We see a tree in the distance, faintly, behind a thick layer of fog. But as we draw closer it becomes more and more visible. God then revealed to me that this is the exact meaning and reason why He was in a Cloud By Day!
Exodus 13:21-22 NKJV:
21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.
I then heard the Word, “Draw close to God, and He will draw close to you.”
James 4:8 NKJV:
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Draw near in hope and expectation{opposite of double minded} …
Hebrews 11:6 Amplified Bible
But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.
