Symbolization: He Who Stills the Roaring of the Seas

Original Entry Date: 5/21/2016: We read in the Book of Psalms how God calms the roaring of the seas which symbolizes and connects to how He will calm the turmoil of he nations.

Psalms 65:4-7 NASB:

Blessed is the one You choose and allow to approach You;
He will dwell in Your courtyards.
We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,
Your holy temple.
By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, God of our salvation,
You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and the farthest sea;
Who establishes the mountains by His strength,
Who is encircled with might;
Who stills the roaring of the seas,
The roaring of their waves,
And the turmoil of the nations.

This also connects to Jesus calming the seastorm by the power of His spoken Word!

Mark 4:35-41 NASB:

35 On that day, when evening came, He *said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.” 36 After dismissing the crowd, they *took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him. 37 And a fierce gale of wind *developed, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling with water38 And yet Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they *woke Him and *said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” 39 And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. 40 And He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41 They became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”

This connects to us as individuals: If we keep our faith in Jesus Christ and our minds stayed on Him we will be at peace, no matter what circumstance we are in. Even though we may be surrounded by turmoil and the waves are crashing down on us, we will be in perfect peace. (A)

This also connects to the earth as a whole: Jesus will bring peace to the earth at His Second Coming when He will rule and Reign.
Also, by His spoken Word the seas and the wind obeyed. This connects to how His Word will go out and not return void nor will it pass away. (B) and (C)

(A) Isaiah 26:3 NKJV:

You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

(B) Isaiah 55:10-11 NASB:

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it produce and sprout,
And providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it.

(C) Matthew 24:35 NIV:

35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

I am a gal who lives in the Bay Area, CA. This site is not meant to be about me but rather it is about what God has shown and continues to show me in His Word and when I am in prayer with Him. I hope these entries inspire you to seek His Face, He desires you to do so and even if you don't think so...it is also what your heart and soul have longed for since birth. Over the years I wrote down every sort of spiritual revelation that would pop out at me when reading the Bible. I thought to myself, "what do you want me to d with all this, Lord?" That's when it hit me! Why not start a blog and put everything He has given you on there. And so I did.
