Symbolization: Holiness to the Lord

Original Entry Date 2/21/2015:

36 “You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet:

HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

37 And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban. 38 So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.

The description of the Priestly garments are a representation of the character of Christ. They also reveal what was to come: the stones set on each shoulder for the priest to bear the 12 tribes before the Lord (Exodus 28:12). This was foretelling how Christ would bear the sins of the world on His shoulders by taking up the cross.

This plate of pure gold engraved with “Holiness to the Lord” is a symbol of the mind of Christ. This sets off a reminder to us, that our thoughts are to be Holiness to the Lord.

It is tied on by a Blue cord. The color blue represents Heavenly Things and is a reminder to keep our minds set on heavenly things.

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

The Final point on this is that our minds and our thoughts are what drive our actions. There is a VERY strong connection between heart and mind. Our mind and our thoughts can be seen as a seal placed upon us from God.

Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

I am a gal who lives in the Bay Area, CA. This site is not meant to be about me but rather it is about what God has shown and continues to show me in His Word and when I am in prayer with Him. I hope these entries inspire you to seek His Face, He desires you to do so and even if you don't think so...it is also what your heart and soul have longed for since birth. Over the years I wrote down every sort of spiritual revelation that would pop out at me when reading the Bible. I thought to myself, "what do you want me to d with all this, Lord?" That's when it hit me! Why not start a blog and put everything He has given you on there. And so I did.
